Windows
This version of Pidgin downloads an appropriate version of GTK. GTK is now installed locally for Pidgin, and not system-wide, thus Pidgin will not interfere with other GTK apps on your system.
If you would like to have GTK included in the installer, we have an offline installer that bundles everything except spell-checking dictionaries.
If you’re looking for a portable version that doesn’t need installation, we also have that available.
Linux
We do not provide pre-built packages for Linux and Unix distributions. We recommend installing Pidgin using your operating system’s standard package management tool.
If your operating system doesn’t provide a pre-built package, or if their pre-built package is out of date and you want to upgrade, then you can try building from source.

For a native Mac OS X experience we recommend Adium, which uses libpurple (the core of Pidgin) for much of its protocol support.
If you’re sure you want to use Pidgin on OS X, you may find the packages provided through Homebrew, pkgin, Fink or Macports more convenient than compiling from source. Please note, we do not provide support for issues related to installing Homebrew, pkgin, Fink, Macports, or their packages of Pidgin. Contact those projects directly with questions or concerns.
If you’re sure you want to use Pidgin on OS X and you don’t want to use Homebrew, Fink or Macports, you can download the Pidgin source and compile.

Helltaker Review
There has been a rise of quirky, meta aware indie games recently, likely spearheaded by some fantastic hits like LISA and UNDERTALE. These games have a likeable cast of characters and has a distinct sense of humor that feels like its always winking at the player. Helltaker is one of the latest games to follow this trend and it's easily one of the most solid ones despite its short length.

The premise of Helltaker is tongue in cheek and straight to the point. The main character wakes up one day with a dream - to have a harem of demon girls - and heads straight to hell to fulfill his dream. From there, you recruit a new demon girl into your harem every level, all with their own design and personality. Each level has a limited number of moves and you have to figure out a way to reach the demon girl before you die.
Considering this game is completely free, this game is very high quality. The soundtrack is amazingly catchy and never outstays its welcome, the gameplay is tight and well designed, and the general audio design is top tier. On top of that, each demon is appealing in their own way and the visual style all meshes together extremely well.
Overall, Helltaker is an incredibly fun game for the amount of money you put into it - nothing. Take an hour or two out of your day to play it.
